Scott Mixers Mixing Technology
The Scott Mixers head uniquely draws product from the top and bottom of the batch simultaneously, rapidly dispersing the product throughout the tank. This rotor technology provides excellent horizontal and vertical batch flow, ensuring that the product will be evenly sheared and dispersed, saving you time and resources.

High Shear Batch Mixers

High Shear Inline Mixers
Scott Mixers manufactures a wide range of high performance, long lasting inline mixers for high shear mixing duty across a variety of industries. Typically installed in a process line between tanks or in a truly continuous process with no tanks, inline mixers provide focused, single pass, rapid mixing. Our inline mixers take up less space than other kinds of tank mixer systems, are easy to maintain, and simple to operate.

Scott Mixers manufactures a wide range of high performance, High Shear Inline mixers for producing emulsions, product smoothing, texturizing, and wet-milling applications. Our inline mixers take up less space than other kinds of tank mixer systems, are easy to maintain, and simple to operate.
The Scott Mixers Vacu-Blend generates strong vacuum rates, pulling in powders and dispersing them lump-free into the liquid stream. Powders can be conveyed from a variety of sources; wanding from small bags or drums, manual bag addition directly to the mixer hopper, or integrated with bulk bag unloading systems.
The Vacu-Blend will reduce batch times by up to 90% while improving the consistency and quality of the product.
In the Scott Mixers CDM (Continuous Dispersion Mixer) mixing system, powder ingredients are added at a controlled rate from either a volumetric or loss-in-weight (LIW) feeder. Dry ingredients merge with a metered liquid feed stream in a powder liquid interface device and are immediately drawn into the high shear mixer. The unique design of the powder-liquid interface eliminates plugging and minimizes air entrainment into the process.

Tomato paste, used in many sauce-based formulations, presents not only a challenging mixing application, but due to its paste like nature that resists flowing, is difficult to add to the mix tank. For large scale production, a Scott Mixers Tote Slurry System has a fully automated lifting/dumping mechanism that lifts full totes in place and safely dumps the paste contents into a high-powered mixer for rapid processing.
